surface loss in upper left margin.
De Martelly is a well known American Regionalist in the tradition of Benton
and Curry. His work, like many others was published by Associated
American Artists, NY in the late late 30's - 40's. But like many artists he
moved into Abstract Expressionism in the 50's. This is a very good
example of his later style. Small edition of 20.
