Master printer Terry Willson was born in England in 1948. Upon graduating from the Slade School in London, he won the prestigious Prix de Rome Scholarship in etching and engraving.  In 1978, he returned to England, where he established his studio in Camden.  Palm Tree Editions became a destination for some of England's prominent artists; for example, he printed editions for Lucien Freud and RB Kitaj.  As an artist, he distinguished himself by choosing difficult, emotional subject matter. His uncompromising content and technical expertise as a printmaker brought him national and international recognition for several years. What became of Mr. Willson in his later years remains a mystery. He disappeared, without a trace, leaving his studio completely intact. He was not seen or heard from again within the artistic community. Only his compelling and beautifully executed prints remain. His artwork is held in numerous public collections including the Tate Gallery and the Victoria and Albert Museum.
