"Phalaris Condemning Perillus to the Brazen Bull"
Engraving, 1562 or earlier. Robert-Dumesnil VII 93.205, i/II. Signed in the plate "P. Woeririot F." , l.c. In 1562,, he took his surname "De Bouzey"from his mother's name and incorporated those initials into his monogram on his later prints. Printed in black ink by the artist on 16th century cream laid paper (without any apparent watermark) with small margins all around. A very fine, crisp impression. 25 x 175 mm. (8 13/16 x 6 7/8 in.)
