Exhausted Globe suite

This suite of four photogravures was published by Richard Levy Gallery in 1997 with the plates crafted by Lothar Osterburg in New York City and the editions printed by James Stroud at Center Street Studio in Boston. The images form a string narrative loosely based on the story of The Little Prince by Antoine de Saint-Exupéry with an ecological message embedded within. Originally sold separately, CSS has purchased various impressions as they came available over the years and has put together a rare complete set. Each plate varies in size slightly but are printed on sheets measuring 25.5 x 23 inches. They are each coated with a thin film of beeswax.
