Edmondson was an important mid-century Abstract Expressionist who worked in Los Angeles. He produced a large body of work beginning in the late 40’s with small lyrical abstract etchings that he said were influenced by Paul Klee. In the early 50’s he began making prints that were some of the most advanced abstract color prints in the country.
