Fookes was an early member of the Grosvenor School, the important British Modern school of
color linocuts led by Claude Flight. She was associated with Sybil Andrews and Cyril Power. Fookes’
work is relatively rare. The only other impression of this print located is an unsigned impression at
Syracuse University
