This is a burin engraving by Atelier 17 artist George Ball. Ball began working in Hayter's workshop in 1958 and remained in Paris for the rest of his life. He died there in 2010. A good friend of Hayter, Ball taught engraving at Atelier 17 as well as in his own studio in the Latin Quarter.
