Martin Hardie, Eng., (1875-1952), Launching the Boat, Watercolor, 5-7/16 x 2-5/8, undated, signed with initials in pencil lower left, on cream laid paper, laid down at edges to passpartout support sheet with gilt ink border, a few small fox marks to sky, more prevalent verso. A lovely small watercolor by the artist who often favored coastal subjects in his work. Retains a partial label from Caroline Stroude, an established London dealer in watercolors.
