FRANCES H. GEARHART

EUCALYPTUS, ca 1929-30

Color linocut, signed in pencil. 6 5/8 x 3 5/8 inches. Sheet 8 3/4 x 5 inches. edition c 50-75

Very good impression. On a thick fibrous japan paper. Even margins with deckle edge on bottom and left side. A bit of the original brown hinging tape at upper right corner. A hint of darkening within the mat opening. Slight discoloration at lower sheet edge. The usual tack holes normally at the right sheet edge are at the lower sheet of this impression.

A very nice example of this print. This impression uses a black key block. Some impressions use a blue key block.

Every Gearhart is uniquely printed, no two are identical.

Provenance; The Print Corner - the Whitmore collection. With their inventory number FG73.8 lower left The Print Corner was Gearhart's principal dealer in the East from 1930 on.
