“The prints are two stages of the metamorphosis of Daphne. In the attempt to escape the pursuit of Apollo, Daphne asks for help from her father the River God and her mother the Earth Goddess. Their solution is to transform her into a tree. For me, she symbolizes the survival of nature over destruction and violence.”
