Artist’s proof. It seems unlikely that this print was ever editioned. We have yet to find another impression of this print anywhere. The work of Masao Yoshida, who remains a bit of a biographical mystery, is extremely scarce.
Signed and annotated “EPA 9” in pencil.
Plate size: 14 1/4 x 11 5/8 inches
Band of toning around the platemark, which was treated to minimize, but has proven quite stubborn; approximately ¼ inch wide. Nevertheless, a very fine impression, otherwise in excellent condition. And as the frank art dealer will profess: “go find another one”!
