Working with dried grasses and plants from just outside the Oehme Graphics studio, Paula Zinsmeister completed a body of work that was printed directly from these natural elements. The resulting monoprints have an other-worldly quality and a delicacy that only nature can provide. The artist used both watercolor and oil-based inks and many of the plant shapes were used to block color from the paper, resulting in white "ghost" images, as well as delicately inked natural materials.
