An alumnus of the University of Tennessee, Creighton Michael received his M.A. in art history from Vanderbilt University and a M.F.A. in painting and multimedia from Washington University in St. Louis. He is a recipient of a Pollack Krasner Foundation grant, a New York Foundation for the Arts fellowship in sculpture and a Golden Foundation for the Arts award in painting.
