Richard Bosman spoke of the image he clearly remembered as he was returning to Australia from the United States. Landfall is the term sailors use when they see land in sight from being out in sea.
Landfall was hand printed in seven colors on Rives BFK, 100% cotton, archival paper at Stewart & Stewart’s Wing Lake Studio in Bloomfield Hills, Michigan. The seven progressive color separations were drawn by the artist, then screenprinted using an indirect sensigraphic stencil system.
Landfall, 1994, screenprint, ed: 54, sheet: 28.5” x 37.75”, $2000.
