Portfolio with complete set of 10 etchings plus the title page etching. The etchings created in 1943-47 (printed in 1980). Sheets 15 x 11 1/4 inches, 283x380 mm. Full margins, loose as issued, with original tissue dividers all within the original portfolio cover.
On Arches paper. The plate images vary in size. Each signed and numbered 24/70 in pencil. Printed and published by Éditions Sabatier-Satié, Paris. 1980. One of 70 numbered copies from the first published edition (very few proofs were printed from 1943-7 as they were considered too provocative for their time. The complete group was finally published in 1980. Numbered 24 on the justification page.
In very good condition. With the original tissue between each print in orginal folder within the original brown paper wrapper.
Although printed in 1980, the etchings were created in 1943-7 in the legendary studio of Stanley W. Hayter
