Two sheets joined at the center, laid on masonite. A major print by Mendez. Illustrated in “Leopoldo Mendez- Revolutionary Art and the Mexican Print” double page 226-7 and on the back cover. Together with a period photo of Mendez with a mural size linocut behind him.
Provenance: Acquired directly from Mendez by the previous owner.
Mendez is one of the major Mexican printmakers. He was a founding member of the legendary Mexican printing workshop the TGP (Taller de Grafica Popular) in 1937.
