Andres Zorn, Swedish, (1860-1920), August Strindberg, Etching, 1910, 11-3/4 x 7-11/16, old hinges top margin edge, pale trace of toning within mat opening, a small rectangular stain lower left margin corner from an old gummed inventory label, a few tiny spots of foxing mostly in the margins, signed in pencil, the title penciled bottom left margin, on a fine sheet of cream laid paper with full margins. Zorn's portrait of the great playwright, and one of his most celebrated etchings in a strong, crisp impression.
