A superb, painterly impression, with fresh colors, on heavy cream wove paper; the full sheet with wide margins (3 5/8 to 4 inches), in very good condition.

Petrucci was a highly regarded Italian portrait and landscape painter and printmaker. He was a founder of the Rome Secession, the early 20th-century Italian modernist art movement, and influential Curator of the Calcografia di Roma (Instituto Nazionale per la Grafica). His graphic works are the following museum collections: National Gallery of Art, Brooklyn Museum, Detroit Institute of Arts Museum, Galleria d’Arte Moderna (Rome).
