NY artist Diana Cooper spent one week simply drawing the overlapping images for this large diptych monoprint, before any printing was started in the studio. The drawings were done with various markers, oil crayons and ink washes which were then exposed onto Solar plates and printed in various color combinations. Based loosely on the interior of a large cubed sculpture, the drawing is really almost autonomous; Cooper would simply let her hand do the drawing without thinking too much about what was happening. One can sense the meandering lines traveling along detached thoughts and memories.
