Color viscosity intaglio print on tan wove paper.
Artist's proof. No edition as a such. But clearly used for another edition.
Seemingly this impression of this composition is uniquely titled, and printed as such. Interestingly, the title is written by the artist on top of what seems to be a prior title, which was erased. This is clearly printed from the same plate as an editioned print titled “Butterfly Formation”. Impressions from that edition are generally printed in paler hues. It seems Reddy saw the evocation of two fishes in this particular artist’s proof, and decided to give it its unique title.
This was most certainly printed at Atelier 17 in Paris.
Signed, titled, and annotated in pencil.
Slight discoloration of the paper on the verso, unobtrusive.
